Beautiful & poignant shots. Very appropriate for this week's theme.

Thanks for dropping by. On the b&w with color photo, it's fairly simple. You can email me at bunny dot trails at yahoo dot com and I'll tell you how. :D

Wonderful take on the theme. That is such a moving memorial to me and your photograph of it and those visiting is so well done.

Ahh. The Wall. Perfect photos for the theme.
I remember visiting DC shortly after it was erected. Did rubbings for the friends and family of people we knew from our hometown.

That is a memorial I would very much like to visit; I lost a cousin and a good friend in that war.

go ahead, make me cry.

Very nicely done! This post made me remember my own visit to the Memorial in Washington DC, and finding my high school classmate's name there. The gifts left, the other people there. . . it is an incredibly moving place and you portrayed it well.

My post is up too. http://healingmagichands.wordpress.com/2009/05/09/photohunt-in-memory/

I went to The Wall for the first time a few years ago and found it very moving. I looked up a childhood friend's father's name there and took a picture of his father's name. My friend was only three years old when his father died in Vietnam in 1970. My friend's in the Philippines and hasn't had the chance yet to visit the Wall. I hope he gets the chance to do so someday.

Beautiful shot.

The one time I was near that wall, I could feel all the crying inside me, ready to come out. And I was just driving by.
