Too much of a good thing

in

Went to a St. Pat's party Fri. nite for an old boss of mine (from when I was still bartending regularly); he's from Ireland and alot of fun, best boss I ever had!
Then the next night I did a bartending stint- a St. Pat's party for the Plymouth County Democratic Party; a good party- Irish band, Irish stepdancers and funny Anti-Republican jokes. Tho I've been having a pretty good time this wkend, I think it's taken a toll on me - forgot to mention the sunpoisoning that's been so incredibly itchy it's been keeping me up nights. I also seem to be going thru a(nother) lack of self confidence regarding this blog-sometimes i think this online journaling is not for the faint of heart. So I'll be back when I can muster up a proper post.

It's surprisingly hard to have sympathy about your sunpoisoning when I'm still suffering earache from the wind on this morning's dog walk! (Though obviously, in all seriousness I wish you no ill, and sincerely hope you feel better :o))

I've decided I'm only writing posts when the mood takes me, and am finally learning to get over the guilt I feel when I don't post for a few days - golden rule to [try and] remember: it's supposed to be fun, and on your terms of being whatever you want it to be :o)

Thanks for the sympathy Jona -too bad we couldn't have the tea with it. And ditto for me on the posting.

Oh rdl, please don't be discouraged. I find your blog so encouraging, sparky and interesting.

I know what you mean though only too well - it does take a lot of bravery sometimes to put oneself out there.

Take a break if you need to, but please come back eventually. We'll be looking out for you.

I think you're right that on-line journaling is not for the faint of heart. But I don't think you're faint of heart. I enjoy your insights, so I hope you don't stay away too long.

I was feeling the same way. Where will the words come from day after day? But Mary is right. You always have something encouraging and sparkly to say.

rdl, you're right. I too have my ups and downs with blogging and it's hard to keep it up on occasion.
I hope you do keep it up because I enjoy coming here :)
