Thanks guys! and Jona the(expensive Atrium) door on the other side- the one we let him out to the yard is tho. actually both wood frames have scratches. But my cousin gave me these bells to hang on the door and he hits them with his noise when he wants to go out (electric fence) - the downside to that is he hits that hundreds times a day. And also he lets himself back in that door ( it has a ?French handle(forgot name - like a lever, so he just jumps up and opens it and if i try to block it to save the door and heat in winter he scratches and had scratched off the protective coating right down to the scratched wood. On list to fix fore winter. Man's best friend eh.
