oh rdl - i am so sorry. :(
i just wrote comments to someone else whose pet is sick. i have been there twice. i lost my babies, one 18 yrs., the other 15 yrs. 2 mos. both of these losses were so painful.
i hope the wonderful memories you have will be comforting.
