Monday, Monday

in

Ok, who's old enof out there to remember that song? and who wrote it? No fair googling either, tho i might have to resort to that to see if my memory serves me correctly. I can hear the melody playing in my head and even remember some of the lyrics. Let's see, it was the Mamas and the Papas(this album cover really brings me back - i remember having it (guess its with the rest of my collection - somewhere in the twilight zone room with all of my other stuff - you know the bong and.... Remember beautiful Michelle Phillips? and Mama Cass and the Phillips dude, father of the gal on that 80's sitcom with the janitor; so what was the name of the other guy?(?Papa Cass?). As you can see, as we like to say in my family, "you've got a good memory, but it's short". Feel free to fill in any of the blanks.

Now you've gone and done it. "Monday, Monday," is in my brain and won't go away. I have no idea who wrote it, but I can certainly hear the Mama's and Papa's singing it. I think my wife used to have that album you've pictured.

Wohoo I can't rememeber it! Must mean I'm too young, right? Right? Please say I'm right - as opposed to being so old I'm forgetting everything ;o)

I can not only remember it, I had the LP, vinyl. Played it and played it. The other guy's name was Denny something or other ... he was/is Canadian I believe. Thanks for the memory, Rdl :-).

Mary, I did too; always loved that album cover and yes Jona you are definitely Young compared to the dinnosaur here that remembers further back than that even!

jMusic, makes the people, come together. Knew who sung it, not who wrote it, but I love the topic (music!). Though I don't recognize the album cover, the feeling's still the same ... None if the other four senses can take you back like music can. My mom had a great collection. Happy thoughts = carol king (tapesty), cat stevens (tea for the tillerman), comander cody (greatest hits... hot rod lincols!) ... titalating, the Rolling Stones, the one w/ the zipper on the cover (title?). I could go on an on. :)
